I played a brilliant game and wanted to analyse it, when i did it says the analysis tool was unavailable, when i checked again just then, the game doesn't appear in game history

The url to my game was https://www.chess.com/game/140893622742, is there any way to retrieve it?

If the game was during the outage in the early hours this morning, it's possible the game never made it to the archive.

This happened to me too... finished game, game review wouldn't work, game list doesn't show game, which I guess means it also wasn't rated.

Pretty sad state of technology for a company with huge profits. The overhead is naturally low, why skimp so hard on proper servers with redundancy?

The site does have proper servers. A site of this size is fairly complex, with a lot of interacting systems. Something like this is a relatively rare occurrence and normally there's no data loss, with different transactions able to be recovered. That said, systems can have issues, even when they're architected in a way to minimize problems.

I was a database consultant all the way back in the 90's, so no need for you to be confidently wrong and 'splain it to me.

Problems like this are completely preventable outside of something like a giant comet smashing into the datacenter.
