website not responding reliably

For the last week I have been having terrible response from the website.  A page or two will be served fine and then no server response for a while.  I have debugged all possible problems on my side including internet connection, multiple browsers, all browser extensions, logging in and out.  It is  very frustrating.

Can you imagine what would happen if 100 users looked to see if others had posted similar threads instead of posting 100 separate threads?

@notmtwain.  great, can you point me to this thread where this is already being discussed?  I looked on the hot topics and in others and I can't find it.

Thanks,  I feel like you are trying to be helpful, but my current issue is not lag or slow response that live chess users complain about.  This is about the server not responding during web page requests and timing out with server not found.  Also most of those threads are many years old.

My first remark was made thinking that this was just another in the nearly endless stream of complaints about people losing because of disconnection and lag. I get frustrated because I can't tell if it is just a rare complaint (1 in 10,000 users) or if there is actually a problem that chess.com should handle better. There really are a lot of threads about disconnections and forced resignations and lag and people suspecting hacking.

When you wrote back, I realized it is a different topic.  I honestly have never experienced slow delivery of content pages at chess.com since I upgraded to a Premium membership. I noticed it more in the live chess pages which get served ads for non-premium users. Sometimes the screen would freeze while ads were being served. Perhaps that is the main problem.

Some of the threads that have 3000 and 5000 posts take a moment to load, but the thing that caught my eye was the OP's comment about "multiple browsers"Surprised
