website not working

a few days ago the website began processing requests unacceptably slowly. I'm fairly certain its not my internet connection that's making it slow. After it started acting slow my regular games were occasionally lagging and crazy house games would suddenly not let me place pieces.

Most importantly, starting a few hours ago I am not able to view the challenges list, create custom challenges, send rematch requests or friend requests and I'm unable to accept either rematches or friend requests while in the live lobby even when sent to me directly from other players. I saw the pop up box that said rematch but the "accept" button doesn't work.

I have not been aborting games, nor have I violated the fair play policy in any other way so this is confusing and frustrating to say the least. If I can receive assistance that would be great.

I would suggest trying to clear your cache as a first step.

Also, you might read through the following. It is about disconnects but may help with lag and slowness issues.

Hey policydebater, weird seeing your post here cause we just played the other day if im not mistaken. Anyways its happening to me and others too so its an issue on their part. Really frustrating. Hard to get a variant game cause i cant see peoples challenges and they cant see mine

As I posted in your topic, I don't think it is a problem on the site's end, or at least, your current one isn't.  The initial issue may have been.

There would be a lot more posts with issues and there are a lot of people actively playing. Unless it is an intermittent problem and your are just unlucky, getting on exactly when it happens.

Same problem here. Can't use Focus View and can't accept rematches.

What browser / version are you using? Have you tried clearing your cache? Any security software on your system that might be blocking code from loading?

DuMaestro

I recently cleared my cache, but did it again as you suggested. Everything back to normal now, thanks!

There may have been a bug that was fixed midday yesterday.  I tried to get clarification on that or if the problem may have been caused by a certificate issue from GlobalSign but haven't heard back.
