Whenever you lose an Online (the x days per move type) game due to running out of time, you receive a timeout.  Looking at your profile, I see that this happenned in 2 out of your 7 completed games.  In order to have a timeout ratio of 10% or less, you need to complete at least 13 more games without running out of time. If you find that you can't complete your games on time, it is ok to make use of your vacation time.  This can be found at http://www.chess.com/home/echess_settings.html down where it says

Vacation

PAUSE MY GAMES! I'm on vacation: please pause all of my games!

You're pretty fortunate in that you're asking this so early.  A lot of times I see these posts, the person would have to play over a hundred games in order to reduce their timeout ratio to reasonable levels.  You should be able to manage it within a week or two if you find some quickly moving opponents.

You can see what your timeout ratio is on the bottom right side of your stats on your main page.
