What's the point of games archives being premium if u can find all of ur games in game explorer?

it would just be a whole lot more convenient if non-premium members (me) were able to have their full games archives.

I ( and many other chess.com members) would like chess.com and erik a lot better if we were able to view all our games in our archives.

thanks,

And I would like Porsche a lot better if they gave me a car for free... then again unlike erik and chess.com they don't give me anything.

These guys are trying to make a living, why are you complaining about the fact that they ask money for some of their services, when they have decided to give out others for free?

i believe access to "other member games" in the Games Explorer was planned to be eventually phased into a "premium only" feature after the basic members get a taste of it (just like your neighborhood crack dealer Tongue out and there are some tactics trainer junkies out there that can vouch for this).  The Games Explorer has had some bugs, so they probably won't do it for a while now.

also... i am suspicious of the actual fluffiness, fluffitude, or fluffocity of this so-called ......fluffy_rabbit

You can't fault Erik for wanting to recoup costs and make a profit. Chess.com is an asset to the online chess community and it required vision and perserverance to pull off.

You are getting something for free already. :)

Someone once pointed out in a forum that it is normally the none paying members that tend to complain or want more stuff. Maybe this is just a statisical thing or that freebie players have personality disorders.

 I'm joking of course.............cheapskates ;)

We can watch current games though! That's pretty cool! What about people's ratings and win-loss totals on their profiles? Are we not able to see that? I don't even know. Maybe I just can't find'em. That would be stellar though.

Games Archive isn't premium ... as a non paying member, you get to view the past 30 days of your games [for free]. If you become a paying member, its unlimited. Also, when Games Explorer is back up, you'll still be able to view some of your games [for free], just not all of them.

What are you moaning for ? You still get tons of stuff for free here as a non paying member. If erik and his team gave everything away on this site for free, they'd run out of money to keep it going and there wouldn't be a chess.com. Be grateful for what you do have, for free.

I agree i got my status because of something that happened to me but i also helped the communtiy out by me being the first one it happened to. So next year when my status runs out i will pay for it. Chess.com is the best chess site by far and i have been to a lot of them. They run a business and like any business they need money so if they charge for things than so be it. Erik and staff keep up the great job that you all have been doing.

yeah, i think they have upped the subscription you need for other people's games in game explorer, since they've put them back in.  Probably they should change the bit in the memberships page where it says 'unlimited game explorer'.  Also, I can no longer search for a general database of chess.com games, just specific users, which unfortunately requires platinum.  Maybe this option will reappear once all the chess.com games have been properly put back in.

LOL. That was hilarious. You would like me more personally? Well, then I guess it goes both ways - I would like you a lot more if you were a premium member :D

Write down your moves, or hire Personal Assistant, instead of be premium member!
