What’s the point of the abondonment rule

Like it just makes us lose on WiFi and disconnection chess.com please make the times longer.

I thought for 1 minute on bad WiFi and disconnected and I actually checked with an engine after losing the game and I was winning in the final position.

I didn’t have a chance to switch WiFi or even reconnect. I also tried lots of times refreshing.

Like can you make it 10 minutes wait time

10 mins is too long because then your opponent will have to sit for 10 mins until you reconnect. 
Or people will just abuse it by disconnecting when they are in a losing position to get extra time or just to make the opponent wait. And in fast games like bullet and blitz, it would suck to wait.
