Why are bad sports allowed to play?

Chess.com isn't exactly allowing it, TexasRookAttack, in fact they have rules in place that forbid such aggravating behaviour.

But I guess the truth is that with millions of free accounts, they simply cannot police every line of text. It would mean a huge effort for them and have almost no effect because free accounts cannot be effectively policed anyway.

I don't get it. Generally speaking, I just come here to play chess. Why is it that I constantly have to deal with people who cuss me out on wall, or send me rude and offensive messages? Why does Chess.com accept this?  I do nothing wrong and I get cussed out constantly. I shouldn't have to block all the idiots on here who have no manners. Chess should allow for reporting, and the reported should be booted from the website. Letting this continue really hurts the game.

Weclome to the internet!

Where annonymity gives people as much bravery as beer.

I understand TexasRookAttack.

I repoted the user paumagal for calling me a c*nt and telling me to die (I sent the the screenshots to chess.com staff ).

Nothing happened, he is still on chess.com, much to my displeasure.  I wish these people could be nicer.

I understand your frustration. I ignore messages during games. Some people try to upset you, I think, to throw you off your game. It's the same reason some people use offensive avatars. I just try to enjoy the games and block offensive users after the game is over.
