Why have I been muted for 30 minutes???

Hello,

I visited my friend on a game he was playing, and I asked him to play with me the next round. I wrote few lines there in serbian, and then got a pop-up window that game admin or moderator muted me for 30 minutes and (something alike) I need to be careful what I talk (still, not sure if those were the correct words).

I really don't appreciate this kind of behavior, especially considering I was chatting with my friend about a game that we wanted to play next. No faul language. Nothing.

Is this kind of treatment reserved only for free customers? Please inform me if so, so I can cancel my membership and find another place to play.

Thank you.

I would suggest that you contact a member of the staff to resolve this conflict. Without additional information I don't know how much help the "general forum public" would be able to provide.

no, it isn't reserved for free members only.  there is an automatic system scanning all words posted in games or in main chat in live chess - and the automatic system probably picked out a word you typed.

unfortunately, the automatic system does not filter for "context" but only on the strings of specific letters - and an innocuous word (harmless) in one language may have a vulgar import in another language....

the automatic system hits the premium members equally.

if you aren't certain about the specific word, but remember what you typed, send it in a private message to staff member  kohai and politely explain and ask her which word was the one that activated the auto-filter on you.   I'm sure she will be happy to help you understand and avoid it in the future.

no, sorry, don't ask:   I do not know all the filtered 'bad' words that will cause a hit.

Thank you for your reply ozzie... It is now resolved, but it was also really frustrating since I had to call to explain why am I mute Sealed
