Why is there no move numbers on my move list??

Help me with this -->  look closely at the move list bar. there is no move number!

Ned more info. Does this happen in ALL of your games? And you are on Safari?

I am on Safari and yes, this is still happening

Can you highlight them? If you can, the move numbers are white.

when I move a piece, the numbers show for 2 seconds then disappear.

IT IS STILL HAPPENING

Which version of safari are you using? 

On my version of Safari on iMac, the background around the URL is closer to white than black.

I have Safari on Mac IOS Mojave.

Can you show me this, or tell me the number? We are getting no other complaints of this. 

This is the version --> Version 12.1 (14607.1.40.1.4)

Te only I can get rid of it is If I go on Dark Mode, but I don't really like it since the moves aren't that clear.

Nobody else can reproduce this. It must be something with an extension or setting you have on your machine. Can you try changing your theme/background to something else, and then changing back? 

I tried doing what you suggested @erik but the  numbers are still disappearing
