The points are just a designation of how active you are on chess.com, not so much the quality of your posts. I like the point system the way it is, but adding a rating system such as a 5 star for quality of the post would be neat too.

Why doesn't chess.com add a 0-5 stars rating system for lectures, blogs, and perhaps even comments. That seems more helpful and valuable than the current 'points' system which is all about quality rather than quantity. It would also help to find higher quality blogs and posts that do not initially garner high volume of readers.
