WiFi Connection Issues

Hello.  When I play chess on the iphone app through my home WiFi I the connection is very inconsistent.  i will play a game and the connection bars in the top right will flash red and then suddenly it will be my turn with time lost.

 

My WiFi works fine for other programs (Roku, etc.).  My chess.com app works fine when WiFi is disabled.  It chews through data though so i don't like doing this.

 

I have ATT Uverse internet connection.

 

Any ideas on what could be causing the problem?  Some sort of communication error that can be rectified?

I have exactly the same problem.
I am in Spain with Orange internet connection.
Any solution?

I fixed the problem. It was related to the WiFi configuration of my router. It had “intelligent selection” of bandwidth, 2.4 or 5 GHz. I changed it to manual mode and 2 different SSID, one for 2.4 and other to 5.
Now I connect to the 5GHz WiFi and chess.com app works perfectly in my games, without delays or inconsistencies

But that is not good, I want o have single Wifi at home and want to use it across all my devices., Just for Chess.com app I dont want to configure seperate Wifi.

 

I think chess.com must investigate in this matter.

Because currently me and my son both of us facing this issue on two seperate devices and logins, on android Mobile ph and Samsun Tab.

Thanks Adam, however I do not have lag issue, in fact it fails to detect network completely only in the first step.

Hello I am trying to play with my friends but then it says I have been disconnected and refresh my page but it wont work. Any solutions??
