Windows Phone App

As of a few days ago, the chess.com Windows Phone app stopped working :-(  When I try to refresh and show my daily games, it gives me an error.  I emailed the error log to the staff a few times.  I hope that chess.com can fix it and hasn't given up on WP.

If they have given up, then it looks like the future of apps on WP is thru a browser (as is prolly the strategery of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella for mobile).  I accessed chess.com thru World's Best Browser (aka Edge) and it seems to work pretty well, tho not the same as a full blown app.  Chess.com, if you are giving up on the WP app, please let us know so we can uninstall it and begin the grieving process.  Thanks!

They announced that they were no longer supporting Windows phones back in 2016.

Real downer man :-(  I would think that chess.com would want to keep developing UWP apps with Windows 10S on the horizon.  Fortunately using the site thru my phone's browser works pretty well.   

It would be helpful for chess.com to pull the app from the Windows Store if they no longer maintain it and it doesn't work.  It wouldn't be fair for them to like double their new membership on a false claim of having a functional WP app  :-)

says that Windows accounted for 0.3% of the phones sold in the 4th quarter of 2016. 

0.3%-  that's still more than a million devices but compared to the 353 million new Android devices or the 77 million new IOS devices sold, it explains why they decided to drop it.
