I just started to play 10 min live chess and realized that the most players know some powerful non triditional openings just for live chess. I am wonderring if live chess is different from slow chess beside the speed?

Players at low level at bullet and blitz can play opening whatever they want. 10 min usually are enough to punish bad opening, but if you are not fast player and you have used half of your time on opening you will strugle on middle game and endgame.

So play more quick, natural development moves, general opening principles, Dont focus much if he or she plays strange weird moves, if you cant see quick win, dont bother looking, but just play chess

most likely these non traditional powerful openings are just your opponents playing tricks on you that are very easy to avoid like this https://www.chess.com/live/game/1660707808

Try Elephant Gambit as black and Blackmar Diemer gambit as white.

I don't understand the people who think some openings are better suited for fast play than slower time controls. It's like an admission that fast games are not as important as games where the opponent has more time to work out whatever flaws are inherent to one's opening.

But in any case, openings don't matter, ever. The only thing the opening has to do is put the player in a playable middlegame, where the tactics decide the point.
