I have the same problem. Refreshing and clearing the cache did not help. Does anyone have a fix?

Same, it started with trying to play through the facebook app in safari, but I could still play in Chrome, now I can't play in the app or on chess.com on either browser

And I've cleared my cache, done a hard refresh, javascript is enabled, still nothing...any other ideas?

I wrote a note into support, and was told that the problem is NOW FIXED!

Yet, I cannot see the board still.

Same, they wrote me back and said they fixed the problem on the 6th. Nothing has changed though.

I received a nice reply from Shaun Moves, who explained that TWO things were broken, one of which masked the other.

The first thing that was broken was that the FB version of Chess.com created a bad cookie when a user viewed another game, and that that cookie interfered with visualizing the chess boards in Live Chess.

The other thing that was broken was a persistence of that cookie when one navigated over to the Chess.com website, directly.

He suggested that I clear my browser cache completely, then shut down that browser, and open another.  So I cleared Firefox cache, then closed the browser and opened Google Chrome.

He suggested, further, that I go directly to chess.com, where I would be able to play Live Chess, visualizing the boards, until they fixed the issue with FB and the corrupted cookie.

So I went over to Google Chrome, loaded up chess.com directly (NOT through Facebook), and was able to finally see the Live Chess boards again!

Yay, Shaun Moves!

Ya...the cookie is the problem and you can meticulously circumvent temp by logging directly to chess.com and clearing the cookie...but now, and this really pisses me off, my rating has been reduced by hundreds of points and after every game I am being shut down for 5 min due to the fair play policy, of which I violated by aborted games that occurred while trying to resolve this fffnnn problem

Open a ticket. They cam probably reset that for you, especially if you explain it was due to the bug.

From what I can tell, this issue is now completely fixed.

Anybody else see this?

If so, let's close this thread?
