Board freeze

I was just about to get a hard-fought win on time against an opponent 314 rating points superior to me (he had 0.7 seconds, I had 10 seconds), when my board completely froze until my 10 seconds were up and my opponent had won.

Anyone got any explanations for my board freezing and my time keeping on going. I'm suspicious about it, but can't see how anything nefarious could have happened to cause it.

Very annoyed anyway - was a great defence by me to neuter my opponents attack

Yes, the last few days there have been some website problems which may have been causing some trouble in the Live Chess. We apologize for the problems and hope to have everything better soon.

Hmm - not convinced by that (it wasn't lag as it worked fine after those 10 seeconds, and the time kept running; and because of the time it was in the game).

Oh well. Must be a *lucky* opponent, that is all.
