I have missing peaces too today in (daily chess games) or all opponent pawns are GONE ... or other game all my Pawns are gone ... if I hit how the game started I miss Bishops or Knights ... WEIRD BUG ... 22-10-2019 ... Why is CHESS(dot)com not reporting this problem on the front page?

Just had my worst round of survival, not all the pieces are showing up.

Same here, I aborted like 10 games in a row because I can't see any white knights.

I don't know if they will do that or not. It will likely be hard to tell if certain games were impacted or not. You could always open a ticket to ask, though after the problem is resolved, it won't take many games for ratings to get back where they would have been in the absence of the problem.

Changing "Pieces" from "Wood" to "Neo-Wood" in Settings worked for me. Got the same issue today: white rooks and black pawns disappear. Never seen that before. While scrolling through other options, noticed some other choice has similar problem as well, but do not recall which one.

Glad to have things back to what passes for normaltongue.png

But what was with that banner about Amazon being to blame?  Does this site use (i.e. rent) servers from Amazon?

There is a third-party content delivery network (CDN) being utilized by the site and they are apparently hosted by AWS.
