You have brought this up previously:
Last year you started a thread that generated a lot of thought. You never responded to it. (It's not too late- http://www.chess.com/forum/view/suggestions/how-to-fix-the-bad-quotfair-playquot-policies )
Going back even further, I discovered that the whole problem is actually all your own fault. You were the one who asked them to make live chess available on iphones back in 2011.
That disconnection problem does not exist when you use a web browser like Chrome over a stable connection.
I don't have an iphone but there must be a way to verify that an app is working. I don't think that starting up a separate browser proves anything.
Your policies are garbage. Here's an example.
User mpartap82 abandoned the game. To make sure it wasn't me, I opened a webpage (I had been using the iOS app).
Okay, clock is still running, so I return to th iOS app. Only now the game disappears. So I go back to the webpage. Now it says I resigned.
I never resigned.
You people and your lame "fair play" rules - you keep awarding wins to players that abandoned the game, and assigning e loss to me, even though I'm not the one that abandoned the game.
Your software is written by idiots, seriously.
You need to make e following change:
If it is NOT a players move, then that player can NOT be forced to abandon or forced to resign.
In the game I just mentioned it was NOT my move. But I did have problems with YOUR software.
If it was not my move, then there is no way I could abandon the game. The OTHER player abandoned, and it was HIS move.
So why did you award the WIN to him?
What on earth is your problem here? I've reported this bogus "fair play" problem repeated as have other users.
It should be obvious to anyone with a brain that if it is not my move, it is NOT ME that is abandoning the game.
Why does this problem persist?
