In Live Chess, you can establish three separate ratings: Bullet: < 3 min per side; Blitz: 3 to 14 min per side; Standard: 15+ min per side.
I only play Blitz currently.

Better way to say it.
Bullet: premoves and reflexes. Any attempt at playing actual chess will result in a loss on time.
Blitz: Some time for actual thought, but endgames that would make any master cry.
Standard: a nice and comfortable time control that allows players to waste triple the time they get in blitz before blundering away the endgame with seconds left on their clock.
