When you're on a desktop, you have the option to make a bunch of premoves at once. That's why he didn't take your bishop until after one move later.
My advice to fight that is to make captures that normally aren't expected (which you did right) and then remain material up. If you play deftly and concisely, you can finish these premovers off.
So basically he's just banking on winning on time? It's funny because we played again a few games after this one and I just threw out pieces like crazy and beat him fairly easy. I didn't know you could make that many premoves but I'm usually playing on my iPhone. Thanks for your time and the insightful input.
So I was playing in a 1|0 KOTH tournament the other day and kept losing on time. I know I'm not the fastest player but I can usually go move for move with people. So when I lose to someone on time and they still have 30-40 seconds left it seems a bit shady. The game here is an example. In no way am I making accusations about the player at all but this guy makes 7 moves in 1 second to start the game off. I tried to do it and the most I could get was 3 tops. So how is this possible?
