Did your rating chang and exceed the upper limit when they started the tournament? The big Chess.Com sponsored tournaments that have rating ranges do that.

If your rating was over 1499 when the tournament started they would have bumped you into the next level. If your rating was not that high, then it sounds like a bug and you should report it on the support forum.

Looking at your rating graph, it appears you were over 1500 for a day or two. Perhaps that was when the tournament started?
Don't think so. His current blitz rating is around 1400, so i don't believe in rating changes.

No, my highest rating was 1633 at the start of the year. Then I kept losing until feb.I reached 1300.then I started winning again .so the tournament was around 5 days ago
That sounds like a bug to me. :(
I know how that happened. One time I joined a 15 10 tournament and there was only me and someone else. When it was time for the tournament to stat, we got moved to the open tournament because there were only 10 people.
If you don't get an answer here you can contact the staff directly via Help & Support at the bottom of the page. Unless this is a common occurence I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

It's the morning. I was going to my PC and joining a 10|0 tournament 1200-1499. I played games while the tourney was beginning to start. When the tournament started, I was moved to another tournament. The 10|0 OPEN Tourney. Does anyone know why I was moved?
