I see steamers like the Chessbrahs, or more recently Nakamura, talking about how they are being or are adopting someone. After looking into it I have been able to assume that after 10 consecutive wins they are adopted, however I have seen nothing for sure. Could anyone please clarify? Thanks!

I was so close to adopting one of da komodos but then I forgot how to f*cking checkmate with a rook and f*cking bew it!
