Chess.com abandonment swindle!

I've just played a 2+1 bullet game; spent 1 minute and 5 seconds contemplating a single move, I had 40 something seconds left on the clock, and suddenly I lost, due to "game abandonment".

I certainly had not abandoned the game. Total swizz if you ask me.

On move 5?

That's a no-no.

I see, thank you for the reply.

I still maintain that I had not in fact abandoned the game. To call it abandoned is inaccurate; as if I had left the computer etc. It would be better to just say "timed out", and even show a separate timer or some kind of notification when time is low.

I understand there's an actual problem of people abandoning games, and it's not nice for the other player having to wait. Not entirely sure this was the best solution though; of if the reason for the game being aborted while a player is still considering a move, is communicated in the best way.
