Chess Rating

Okay, so I just passed the "new to chess" stage and i am starting to win almost every game against players around my rating that i don't have to leave (have to help my grandmother, dad, chores, etcc). The problem is, I've lost SO many games up until now that my rating is still very low. Should I make a new account, if just to see what my actual rating is, and is this allowed?

That is a bad idea; your rating is what your rating is. If you are underrated it will increase untill you are overated and then decline until you are properly rated.

That's true but getting about 10-20 points per game will take a rather long time to get even get to 1200 at the stage I'm at

Your rating represents your results, not your skill. Play some games to reflect your improving skill and your rating will change to reflect your improving results. And of course it will take quite a few good results to undo your bad ones. Your rating doesn't change on a dime.

OK thanks, and do you think I should play with people on a higher level if this seems to easy?
