Most likely what happened is you got disconnected without the client you were using (web interface/app) not realizing it and it looked like your opponent's time was counting down while waiting for the move. However, your opponent had moved and you clock was actually counting down. When it finally reconnected, you had lost on time.

[naming & shaming not allowed -- MOD] hacked my clock when i played him. chopped it up by half the time. I track my clock on a clock. do not play him.
