It's not "legal cheating". You may use the feature, but I wouldn't recommend it. Because, in competitive chess, once you touch a piece, you move it. So, if you're a serious player, thinking wisely before a move, and then playing it, is good, rather than using this feature. This is my opinion on it.

What is you r opinion on the move confrimation? I wanted to play more focused (less blunder) games so I starter playing longer time controls and also turned on the "Confirm move" button with the idea to eliminate blunders that I see a second after I make a move. The confirmation button saved me several games but I wonder whether it is not a bad habit or even some kind of "legal cheating" as you make a move, see the position after the move and only then confirm it, which is normally not possible, e. g. in OTB games. Can this harm visualisation skills?
Btw, I play just for fun, I don't plan to play tournaments or serious OTB games.
