Connection interrupted

I'm having problem playing live chess n the last 2 days.

I get suddenly disconnected, my clock stil runs....I wait...no connection restored and best of all I loose points and a couple of nearly won games.

So no connection and also loosing my games because of this I think it's too much ;-)

If you have connections problem at chess.com at least make sure I don't loose my matches and preserve my ratings....don't you think so?

Can you please check this out?

Thanks

I had that same problem one time. It is frustrating. I am not sure what can be done, but I am with you on maybe something can be done...

The problem is that if you allow people to retain their win/loss stats and ratings when they disconnect then people start to intentionally disconnect in losing positions.

One thing you might try is to reconnect as quickly as you can as soon as you realize you've disconnected.   I'm pretty sure that if you log back into live chess in time you can resume your game.

Dear friend thanks for your advice but please bear in mind the follows:

1)I was disconnected (not my opponent)

2) if you disconnect in loosing position you loose anyway after some times

3) if you are disconnected from the server there's no much you can do really but wait (and be lucky) to get automatically reconnected

4) If you live the page you automatically loose your match

I'm a fan and a supporter and a diamond member of chess.com and I love this site. But to be frank I must say there are better places to play live chess and it's really a shame for this fantastic comunity. I'm sure they will sort this out (last year it was really bad) we'll see.........

Thank you for reporting this! We are investigating the issue.

I haven't had the problem, but looking at positions of satorichess, it is really disheartening.

There was a disconnection when I had already made my move. My opponents clock was running. When connection resumed, I found to my surprise that my earlier move was erased and my clock was ticking. So I made the same move. As a result of this delay, I lost 60 seconds, and eventually lost the game on time. When I related this to my opponent, he replied that he would give me back the 60 seconds which was absurd; and beyond our control.Another frustrating item, was that the system informed that you had successfully relogged in, when in actual fact you did not log out.The game was to my advantage, and to lose 60 precious seconds whereby you can use the time to end the game. Imagine seeing Usain Bolt sprinting 100 m., no less than 6 times.
