I could move but for the first ten moves I couldn't see any change in Black's position. Then all the pieces suddenly changed places. Then they would always be a few moves behind with extra pieces appearing on Black's side and some of mine seemingly disappearing

one was not really there though. it was just where his king had been. It was like they were, 'mirages'... really confusing mirages
Here's a game I played in live chess where there was something wrong with the board. Quite hard to make sense of it all and I ended up losing on time
