"Standard" refers to long games so that rating will only change (and be used) when you play a live game with a time controll of 15 minutes or more. Blitz rating will be applied and used when you play games that last anywhere from 14 to 3 mintes. Finally Bullet is anyhting less than a 3 minute game.
