In a chessgame a threefold repetition ( with the same player to move) is a draw game, but not in Live Chess.

How comes.

both players have to repeat their moves, showing a lack of progress

You need to claim the draw (by using the offer draw button). The draw is then awarded automatically.

 

No different to OTB chess, where a draw has to be claimed too.
