End game time issue

I can't count how many games I have where an opponent doesn't want to draw even in draw positions. Instead what ends up happening usually is just rook moves over and over with nothing happening. They win on time even though it should be a draw. Flawed system

I stopped playing without a delay for just this reason.  Play with a delay: even a 2-second delay makes a huge difference.

I realise it can be frustrating for you to lose when you feel the game is drawn, however your opponents clearly do not feel the same, and if you keep losing to them, then they are right to play on.

How exactly is this website flawed ? It follows the rules of chess so that if a 3-fold rep or 50 move rule occurs you can claim the draw. If a position arises so that no side can win the game is drawn automatically. Otherwise, you play on. If your games are such clearly "drawn" positions, why are you losing them ?

If a threefold repetition or 50 move rule position has appeared on the board, then you need to press the "draw" button. The system will then draw the game. This is the same as otb chess, neither are automatic draws but need to be claimed.

I suggest you look at your game history again. If you had  a threefold repetition of position and you pressed the draw button then the game would have been drawn immediately. The button functions differently if a draw can be claimed, and there is no request or requirement for the opponent to accept or decline the draw.
