It's happing also to me. Particularly in the end of a game where i am almost winning which is very frustrating. Sometimes i reload the page and afterward i am able to go forward with my moves. But sometimes this also doesn't work. I use as you Opera and win Xp Sp3.

Can both of you try using Google Chrome or Firefox instead of Opera and see if this resolves your issue, please?
I was playing Live Chess and suddenly I couldn't move any piece when it was my turn to play. Is it a java problem or Chess.com sever problem? I was surfing with Opera and I'm on WinXP. That freezing problem never happened with other java computer chess games.
