BTW I am hit 1233 and hit 1233 is white.
Game Over
4. O-O might have been more accurate than 4. Nc3.
Neither 6. Bg5 nor 10. Ng5 was very good.
You missed a quicker mate with 29. Rf5+
You ever heard of castling? Try it! Plus on move 7 you gave up your bishop pair for no reason. Freakin' stupid.
Hi Helen
I did castle in the middle game when all my pieces seemed to be in good and safe position. Also I lost my bishop pair so i can stop his pawn formation from occuring and get a profit by rendering his side from a knight. IN this situation I actually gained something.
Actually I did.... I restructured his chess field to the left so that he castles on the shorter side and I many have an advantage of having a side under my control.
You know not everything is about losing pieces.Eventhough I was losing 3 pieces during the middle game, I still won>....
4.Nc3 is OK. It is played by some of the best players in the world. The world's best player, Carlsen, used it to beat Aronian and Gelfand. Other top players include Ivanchuk, Radjabov, Svidler, Morozevich, Shirov, Leko, J Polgar, Anand, etc.
After 4...b6?, White should play 5.Bxc6 dxc6 6.Nxe5, winning a pawn.
After 5...Bb7, you can still pllay 6.Bxc6 and 7.Nxe5. Look for ways to win material.
Again, after 6...g6, you still have 7.Bxc6 and 8.Nxe5.
7.Bxf6 gives up a good bishop for a knight. Unless you can weaken Black's position, keep your bishop.
10.Ng5? is too dangerous as Black can pin the knight with 10...Bh6. Now the knight is pinned and moving it loses the queen. Black also threatens to place his knight in a better position with ...Nd4. So best is to play 10.Bxc6, since his knight is more dangerous than your bishop.
Black misses the pin and plays 10...O-O.
11.f3? weakens the pawn structure on the kingside. White should try something like 11.Bc4 with some threats. Riskier would be 11.h4 and a kingside attack.
After 11...Nd4, Black threatens 12...Nxb5. White should play 12.Bc4.
After 12.O-O-O?, Black wins the bishop with 12...Nxb5, but I guess he did not see it. Still, 12...Bh6 is a powerful pin. White has his knight, queen, and king on that c1-h6 diagonal. Not good.
13...Ne6? allows White to escape. He wins a piece with 13...Nxb5.
14.Qb4? is weak. White is missing the threat with ...c6, threatening bishop and knight. Best is 14.Ne3.
After 14...Nxg5, best may be 15.hxg5 Bxg5+ 16.Kb1.
Instead of 16.hxg5 first, interesting is 16.Nf5+ first (since the knight is lost after ...Bxg5, threatening king on c1 and knight on e7), then 16...gxf5 17.hxg5. Black has doubled pawns and a possible exposed king.
After 18.Qd2, Black misses the threat of 19.Qh6+. So 18...a6 is wrong. Black should play 18...Bg5, preventing the White queen from penetrating.
Now, instead of 19.Bc4?, White misses 19.Qh6+ Kf6 (other king moves and Black gets mated) 20.d4! axb5 21.dxe5+ and White is winning.
After 19.Bc4, White still misses the threat of Qh6+ and plays 19...Re8?? (the losing move) Black should just play ...Bg5 or ...h5 and Black is winning.
After 21...Kg7, White wins with 22.Qxh7+ Kf6 23.Qxf7+ and mate soon.
Instead of 23.Qxh7?, White can play 23.d4, threatening 24.dxe5+ with a mating attack.
23...Bf8?? loses. Black can hold after 23...d5 to prevent 24.Qxf7+ and mate soon.
25.Rh3 is OK, but 25.Rh4! leads to a faster mate after 25...Kxh4 26.Qxg6, threatening 27.Rh1 mate.
26.Qg8? is wrong. White has a mate in 3 after 26.Rg3+ Kh4 27.Rg4+ Kh5 28.Rh1 mate.
26...Bg7 loses. Black should play 26...Rg7, and if 26...Qh8, then 27.Kf6 may draw.
28.Rh5+ is OK, but stronger is 28.Rg3+ leading to mate after 28...Kf4 29.Qxg6 and Black's king is trapped and mated in a few moves.
28...Kf6 walks into a mate. Black should try 28...gxh5 29.Qf5+ Kh6, but still loses after 30.Rh1.
White misses a mate in two after 28...Kf6 29.Rf5+! gxf5 (only move) 30.Qxf5 mate.
After 29.Rdh1??, Black should play 29...Qxh7 30.Rxh7 and now Black is winning with a piece up.
Not 29...gxh5?? as White mates next move with 30.Qf5 mate.
But White misses a mate in one and plays 30.Rxh5?? which should lose after 30...Qxh7.
Now 30...Bf8?? allows mate in one with 31.Rf5 mate.
But White misses another mate in one, but wins the queen with 31.Qxh8+ and soon mates.
Whew!
Hi Please comment how could I have improved this match with other moves. I was white and I won but i want better strategies so please comment!
