I was searching for Hans Neimanns live rating after his impressive +2 score at his first Tata steel Masters Invitational Tournament. To my surprise on Chess.coms website Hans Neimann is no where to be listed. Even when you view his GM profile he has no World Ranking #. At first I thought this could be attributed to Hans’s past of suspension from St. Louis and Lawsuit with chess.com. But I then realized they happily list Christopher Yoo, Another player who arguably did a lot worse then what Hans ever did, Assaulted an innocent film crew with a strike to the back of the head and a charge of 4th degree assault. As well as most recently stalking and psychologically abusing a female player which very publicly led to another suspension. I believe any reasonable person can agree that what Yoo has been proven to have done is way worse than what Hans has even been accused of. I also find it odd that Take Take Take refused to cover Hans Neimann’s games in Tata steel Rapid and Blitz. As well as not having Live game coverage for the Classical event. I understand live broadcasting is a bit of a stretch because they need to recoup the money they spent on their Titled Tuesday exclusive broadcasting rights. But come on, Refusing to cover Hans games in Tata steel Rapid and Blitz on the app is a little weak. I think there is very obvious coordination still happening on small levels to deny Hans as a legitimate 2730 Rated player. Though admittedly it is getting harder and harder. Organizers saw Hans Tie for third at Tata Steel Masters and assuming he continues in good form it wont be poi think you ssible for people to reject him.
He is still listed on Chess.com and has played here as recently as 17 days ago.
He is listed in the article on February 2026 FIDE ratings.

@justbefair correct, fide actually really likes Hans, it’s chess.com who excludes him and wrongfully puts a player in his place. Completely messing up the live ranking of all other players
He is not excluded from Chess.com rankings.
Here is the blitz leaderboard. He is #10.

He is #53 on the bullet leaderboard.
@justbefair I am not talking about his chess.com rating on chess.com. Obviously that wouldnt be a possible thing to hide lol. I am talking about his Fide Ranking On Chess.com,s live ratings. Search Chess.com Live Fide Ratings and they exclude Hans Neimann. Same on his profile picture. What you are looking at is his chess.com rating, Chess.com rating isn’t recognized by Fide. However Fide rating is recognized by chess.com. Go to his GM profile On Chess.com It will say the world ranking is Blank. Also, When I say I searched for his new live ratings after Tata steel. Why would his chess.com rating go up from Tata steel? It isn’t a chess.com event, Obviously I was talking about fide rating, Tata steel is a Fide tournament.
https://www.chess.com/ratingsYou can also find it here. Hans should be around #18. However is no where to be found. Chess Mafia
It seems to be missing multiple comparable players (from a brief casual look at the top 30 or so, in addition to Hans Niemann, at least Javokhir Sindarhov and Aravindh Chithambaram). I mean, draw your own conclusions, but personally, I tend to feel that it’s more likely explained by my opinion that chess.com simply isn’t really all that fantastically flawless at handling all the details of their own website than it is by some sort of “Chess Mafia” conspiracy theory ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@rwv37, I think you just proved my point and you didnt even realize it. You might be too young of a chess fan to remember this however Javokir faced Cheating allegations the same as Hans as a junior. He has had both his Chess.com account and Lichess account banned in the past. Now of course Javokir didnt get world wide attention from this as most Juniors with second chance accounts dont. Hans only got world wide attention because Magnus and Chess.com Decided to BLAST him. Anyways I think i see a pattern. Don’t you?
Some names apparently went missing between July and September 2025.
