never, there has always been the same amount of water on earth. it cant go anywhere.doesnt leave the atmosphere. water gets used and eventualy recycled. we drink the same water that  plants and animals have drank thousands of years ago . whatever water remains in your body when you die eventualy goes back into the ground.

 What if we sent rockets to Mars carrying water and astronauts and then the rocket crash-landed on Mars and we lost that water. Would we have the same amount of water on Earth, then?
