To answer your question though, the quality of your win has nothing to do with your rating. Now the quality of your opponent is very important of course, and the article explains that. As to the Glicko RD system, at first your rating bounces up and down like a gymnast on a trampoline. Later, not so much; more like an old man snoozing in a hammock...

Why do i somites get 12 points, 11 points, 10 points or 9,8,7 points sometimes for a victory!
I recently did a game where i could of capture the queen but didn't cuz he was mate in 2 and i only got 8 points...
Should i have capture the queen??
