How many times do people get sucked in?

Sometimes I'm getting creamed, and I'm down to just a king, and my opponent has plenty of pawns. So in chat I send them a message like "What's wrong loser, can't promote all your pawns to queens?" and go on like that, at least 80% of the time they get sucked in big time and begin trying to get 4 or 5 queens on my taunting and of course end up stalemating the game in the process dispite being 1 move from checkmate. Then they procede to leave as quickly as possible.

Does this happen to anyone else or am I just playing kids who think they're real tough?

Definitely the latter.

Don't try it vs. a true chess player.

This is why I have my chat turned off by default...

Depends on the woman.

lol.  OP your funny.

if I had a queen versus a bare king I wouldn't miss!

and moreover, its a pretty bad fish to get tempted to queen-stale-mate with multiple promotions.

SO

how many honest times did that Actually work!?  we can actually look through your games.

my guess is that you did that say, 2 times in the last month and among dozens of games.

there's no point to be talking to blitz.  and silly taunts get you no where.

That crap works at the beginner level, but if youre trying to improve youre going to need to learn to growup.

You could totally build a wall to keep them out. They'll even pay for it too.

I slightly disagree.

the op doesn't sound like the wisest, most polite opponent I have ever heard of...

but if your slow enough to succomb to the taunts.well.  chess is like that.  you don't win til you WIN.

being very determined to win in a winning position is one of the skills of a strong player.

At least the OP is consistent: This sort of behaviour and language go hand in hand with his profile picture.

The OP's profile picture is a well-known figure in international politics of whom you are most likely aware. This said figure constantly bullies people in incoherent tweets by calling them "losers" among other things. I am not a member of aryan brotherhood but I believe many characters in this politician's administration have strong connections to that direction.

A week or so ago I posted, on these boards, how one of the high school kids I coached with about an 1100 OTB rating was playing an unrated player and, knowing it was an easy win, decided to see how many pawns he could queen.  The game ended in stalemate just as yours did!  I did not approve of anyone trying to humiliate another player like that and found out about it just as the game ended.  My advantage was this was at an OTB tournament and I got to see the sick, green look on my deserving player's face.

You're probably right about them being kids.  I don't pay attention to comments, mainly because I need all the thinking time I can get.

Please!  Many of us are still in shock over the Nov. election and don't need a political debate here.  Let's see if he stimulates the economy (I and most other stock owners have made a LOT of money in the U.S. Stock Market since the election) or if it's eventually determined he's insane and is tossed out of office by his own party-controlled Congress.

and then some try to get a second or third queen, not being able to checkmate without an armee of stinky queens.

Then, polite as I am, I ask them if its possible to reach stalemate without invading the board with queens.
