How to get better when rated 1300

I am 11 and need to get better at chess. I want to get better someone please tell me how. I know a few openings I play Rety,Ruy Lopez, Queens Gambit,Italian game. I struggle often when my opponent plays Queens gambit and I play slav defense or triangle system. How to master these.I play blitz 5/5 or rapid 15/10 or 10/0 I believe not always the better player wins at this level because of tactics. Also sometimes I start a game sometimes and my opponent aborts. People who’s rating is higher than mine tend to do this more often. Are they scared of losing or what? Please answer my questions and tell me how to improve and get my rating up
