I should have offered some coaching where I guarantee a rating improvement of 200 after only one day. That would have been a nice idea :D

Nice!

Till_98

haha the FM on place 1 is rated 2800 and has only played 3 games :D

Computer Impossible hasn't been boosted, now I'm about his strength - looks good.

Just force everyone at chess.com to turn over the FIDE/USCF ID and link their rating to their real rating.  You don't gain/lose any points here, it just reflects your real rating.  Problem solved.

Most people do not have a FIDE or USCF rating.

Guess they can't play here then.  We want accurate ratings.

Now my fake rating matches my fake boobsSurprised

SilentKnighte5

My boobs are completely real.

I went from 1186 to 1336. It doesn't make sense!

chunkymunkey23

1735 to 2038 standard

How does one cheat on online chess?

ChessJester64

OMG same here!! I was 1340 and all of a sudden i'm 1490!?!?

PeskyGnat

I resemble that last comment..a well, at least we are underated now and can have fun getting some of these points from games

ParadoxOfNone

I feel slighted. I bet if I opened up a live chess game, I'd start at 1200. So that mens I'd have to work my way up those 150 points that, everyone else got and perhaps deservedly so ?

Till_98

this rating change was COMPLETE TRASH! They wanted to make the ratings more accurate but what happened is the exact opposite. Now 1600 rated OTB players have 2400 ratings and a FM who has only played 3(!) games is rated 2800! Bad joke, isnt it?

HariSeldon

The major problem is that the staff had maked a lot of mistakes. A lot of people with no boost, people that loose points instead of winning them, people that receive a wrong amount of points... so many errors.

For instance Till_98, you received 300 points boost, but in your case (>1800) you must get 400 hundred points.

The major idea seems good to me. But the implementation has so many mistakes...

As you go higher up the ladder difficulty in getting points rises steeply . Its not proportionate buddy

2000mushroom

Um...I just jumped 160 rating points, didn't even play a single chess game between the jump...

PrestigiousEclipse

I got a boost now my rating finally is around my USCF rating! I got a boost of 150 points.

miw321

Same thing happened to me. Mine jumped 144! That's super dodgy.

miw321

If this is deliberate, I don't think it's a 'truer' reflection of your rating for most players.

tyasas84

now my standard rating become 2000! am i a master? no i am an amateur! Chess.com should fixed it.
