I am confused...about time issues.

Each game has a time limit. In online chess, by default, it's 3 days per move, although you can specify up to 14 days/move. In live chess you can specify the time limit as well. In the upper right corner, just above the board, and in the lower right corner, just below the board, are the clocks. If you lose on time, you lose the game and the relevant points.

A minute to play a move or an entire game?  You could be playing bullet chess. (1-2 minutes per game)

Your losses on time all occur in 10 minute games. That's 10 minutes each for all your moves, so assuming an average game is 40 moves long (it may be longer), you need to move every 15 seconds. It's obvious to me that you either have to play longer games (say 20-30 minutes) or learn to move much faster (most players adept with blitz time controls can move every 5 seconds, at most).
