I can't move my pieces

I tried to play couple of live games on my computer and at the beginning of the games it worked, but after the first minutes I couldn't move my pieces, even though it was't check or the piece I tried to move wasn't covering the king. I couldn't move any of the pieces.

 

I haven't got this problem while playing on the android app.

Just happened to me. I even was chatting, so no disconnect problem. Don't know how to add snapshot.

That was very helpful. I am sure that chess.com staff welcome this help to abandon the game in iPhones.
Really, if I were a developer I would appreciate to know all the problems. This app is extraordinary good, not comparable to any other chess app; they can have the luxury of getting constructive critics. I guess and hope.

I'm just having this issue today. I can't move pieces on the center of the board. I'm using a Linux PC with Google Chrome.

Their best advice for unusual technical problems is to try clearing your cache.

I have been having this problem with PC. My quick fix: Hold down the "previous move"  button to take you through every move throughout the game. the hold the forward arrow to take you back to your previous place. Usually works for me. Hope it works for you.

Repeated interference with my moves will result in my withdrawal from this site. I have been a member at Chess.com a long time and never had this happen to me before, and now it happens three times in a row, and caused me to lose three consecutive times, and shot down my ratings.  This certainly doesn't happen to me on other sites.

Right. @bentseenirengas, @HKPP it happens due to loaded system memory. Try refreshing the page. Before you start to play, be sure that heavily loaded programs such as antivirus, anti malware etc are disabled temporarily. After you finish your game, enable them again.  Alternatively go for higher memory support. This is not a bug to be fixed by chess.com. I also have the same problem whenever I play loads of games. Hope this help you guys.

When I play 10  min. chess, I am queening a pawn, and the screen freezes, will not let me move, backward or forward.  I have lost games because of this.  Only happens in 10 min. A longer game, it aways allows me to queen a pawn. Who knows what causes this.

This has happened to me too, and I even posted a complaint on this forum "Piece Paralysis" which has disappeared from sight because nobody has commented on it in oh, two weeks?  It almost always happens when I'm in a winning position.  I typically react by mashing the keys on my laptop desperately while hollering obscenities.

There is a chronic tendency to deny problems of the app. First, with the control of time (a never solved issue NOT EXCLUSIVELY due to own player´s connection speed). And second, bugs. An iPhone can never get the memory so exhausted to make such errors happen. Indeed, that problem disappeared alone when a new iOS was available. Namely, it was a bug. Such answers denying the problem are kind of "do you have you PC plugged in?" when asking for IT help. 

So, staff, admit that bugs happen. Meanwhile, here waiting for a time control system that works, since it was NEVER working properly, at least in bullet mode.

Same problem guys😔😔 I have Galaxy A30S with 4GB ram and 128 storage.

I don't think it's due to cache or any heavy  program running.

Because my mobile device is completely new and don't have any heavy program. Its definitely a bug.

I'm late to the party but having that issue now. My phone has 12gb of ram.with a Snapdragon 865 and Adreno 650 GPU. 100% not performance related. Anyone have a fix yet? Bout to uninstall.

Not an issue here anymore, I had some issues on the mobile app where my game froze after a bit but after the new update it's fine

Lag.com strikes again. Bullet is unplayable. Bilichess works fine meanwhile.
