When you play a lot of "correspondence" on this site you get used to:
- Use of the opening explorer, legal in daily, not legal in live, including rapid.
- An analysis board to play out the moves, and the moves not submitting the moment you play so you can retract if you can see it looks stupid the moment you play it (which I do a lot in daily, by the way. You wouldn't believe some of the blunders I have trotted out then withdrawn).
- Pretty much unlimited time to play the move once you sit down and put your mind to it.
That explains it.
Well...I'm no good at rapid no more. I been playing too much correspondence time control and it seems I am just no good at rapid. I am therefore retiring from the game of chess in order to become a super duper double grandmaster at the game.
What does "retire" mean?
