You're right:)
Impatient players

30 mins its not event that long. Consider games with 45|45 or 90|30.What would they say on those?
If they want to paly blitz then they should not accepth those matches. Disable chat and play at your own speed.

Nops, you are right. I tend to use most of my time in the opening and middlegame in the hopes of having a clear advantage in the endgame. Sometimes I also get 'positive' reactions, when people are really worried I will run out of time. But, I only had it happen a couple of times that people where upset about me taking my time. I do believe that chess.com has a system in place where if you use half your time for 1 move, you'll get a warning or lose the game. So be carefull not to use 15 minutes for your first move.
In the end it's the players responsibilty to have the time to play a 1 hour game. If you don't have the max amount the game can take, pick a faster timecontrol.

Yeah I play 15|10 for that reason, and typically I wind up having anywhere between 14 and 20 minutes on my clock. And I am dang near 50% so I need to play up more or something

OP, disable chat not to be bothered by it and take your time. If possible, take even longer. They agreed to play a 30 minute per side game, they should not be able to harass you over it.

You are perfectly justified in ignoring impatient opponents who agree to a time control and then complain about it. When they do, just disable chat -- don't waste time arguing with unreasonable people.

Well that seems pretty unanimous! Thanks guys. In future I will disable chat and play at my own pace. They can sulk in silence ;)

I play mostly standard 30 mins on live chess as I like to take time over my moves and consider the variations. Now and then people get impatent with me and tell me to hurry up. I feel that I am entitled to take as long as I want making my moves and if my opponent gets impatient he/she really shouldn't have chosen to play standard 30 mins. Am I right here or am I breaking some unwritten code? Keen to hear people's thoughts!
That's relativity.

Disabled chat says that you are unfriendly. If harassed to move, ignore them.
I have seen my opponents warned by the server for taking too long over a move, but I think that it is usually about being too slow to resign

Yeah I'm in a situation where sometimes I have to leave when the position is unclear so I ask for a draw and give a reason. (Once it was a tornado Warning) most people I've run into understand. The time I had to go to my basement due to a tornado though the guy was an a$$hole and forced me to resign so I could run to the basement

sorry, I dont know, if my question is right here. I want to play a evaluated match with black. Can I choose this possibility. In LIVE CHESS I can choose without difficulties a not evaluated match with a colour that I want to play. Not so with evaluated matchs. What do I wrong?
Thank you.
You did nothing wrong, but you can´t do that.
