Inviting a friend to live chess

Hey guys - my friend is not appearing in live chess even though he is in there (he's on my friends list) when I goto friends tab and goto invite it invites him to play online chess and not live chess, why is this so complicated! - any ideas? Thanks for uYour help P

1. Click "Friends tab".

2. Right click on his name.

3. Select "Challenge" from drop down menu.

I just want to play sometimes, I dont want him/her  all the time; question is adding him or her to my friends list doest include outside the chess.live, even if Im not on chess.live would they know Im on line

If I've read that the way it was intended then "Yes", adding a friend gives up some part of your privacy, in both LiveChess and OnlineChess.

Is there anyway to add a friend for a blitz game or the real time, like the play live now games?

Why can't I challenge someone to a live chess game? Online chess is not what we want to play

There are so many members want to play live chess with their friends instead of on line chess. I think, chess.com staff should open a tab to invite friends to live chess. That would be great....

I can not find any option to invite my facebook friends to download this game or join in this game.... ???

it is impossible to invite a friend online for blitz chess 10 min. 

 How do I play my friend in live chess? He's on my friend's list, he's online...but when I go to invite him it says he's offline? I is sad :'(

I convince a buddy of mine to sign up on chess.com so we can play live.chess. Once he sign up I quickly attempted to challenge him to a time game but was unsuccessful. Very disappointed.
