LAG Switch Cheating - there is a typo in the Subject that I am unable to correct.

Why have my previous forum posts on this subject been deleted?  Why is there a cover-up about Lag Switch Cheating?  and why is no one willing to  acknowledge it?

If this post is deleted, my next posts will be on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and on blogs all across the internet.

This is getting completely out of hand.

Discussion of online cheating is expressly prohibited in the forums.  Such discussions can be carried on here: https://www.chess.com/groups/home/cheating-forum.  That's why other threads have been deleted and this one locked. CrystalMoon

Discussions of cheating are not allowed on the site, except in a specfic group, so that is probably why it got deleted.

That said, turn-based games, like chess, are not impacted by lag switching like other types of games. My clock only starts counting when my client receives my opponent's move (well, probably as soon as the server sends the move and the lag correction algorithm will take care of discrepancies).

My opponent having lag on their end only impacts their connection to the server. They can't impact my connection and only the server knows my IP so the can't cause lag that way.

Martin, thanks for the info.  Can you please refer me to the page that states that discussions of cheating on Chess.com are restricted to a specific area?

There are obviously players who have figured out how to manipulate the network or the website to their advantage - to prevent their opponent from moving while their opponent's clock ticks away.  To deny this common cheat is unrealistic to the point of being non-sensible.

Try navigating the website, and finding what you need.
