I agree completely with the idea of a "submit move" button in live chess. How many times have I been in a tense situation and accidently drop a piece on the wrong square as I am mousing over it. just today I dropped a rook on the wrong square and lost a game as a result. If there were a submit move button like in online chess, then it could have been avoided.
Live Chess Problems
How long are you kicked for btw, I want to get back on, would be a lot easier to just switch to the star system, how am I supposed to know I'm not allowed to express myself.

I fully approve of the "confirm move" option. Today, I just lost an easily won game because my queen got dropped in completely the wrong spot. It's way too easy to accidentally click on the wrong square and have the entire game messed up beyond repair as a result. Please give us the option of a confirmation.

I agree with you , Andy. Chess.com is user friendly but not perfect. Address this pertinent issue with Erik. I am sure he heard that complain before.
Who is Eric and how do I contact him?
I have posted in the "suggestions" forum but some moderator keeps deleting my comments regarding the subject.

Erik is the site owner, and no moderator should have deleted your comments unless they were abusive, at which point they should have either contacted you to let you know, or they should have contacted me to say why so i could let you know.

Do you recall which of the three threads it was and which comments are missing ?
If you do, can you email them to me privately please?

I'm logging off for the night soon as its almost midnight my time. I'll be back in about 6 hours.

In the "Chat Censor" thread (which also is now locked).
User "Mikeparov"
Was being completely abusive - yet he's not banned. He even said:
"You are a dick, muzza fuzza"
And his insults and abuse went on for a page. Yet your "chat Censor" did nothing to stop the abuse, and you have no means to just report an "abusive user".
Yet as detailed here and this thread:
http://www.chess.com/forum/view/suggestions/chat-censor
Your utterly worthless "Chat Censor" goes about censoring, muting and banning members that are not even close to being abusive.
And you even have a member who's name is "5hithappen5".
Seriously? If you really cared you would not allow a screen name like that, no w would you?
Your system is beyond flawed. You need two changes:
1) Replace the chat censor with a system that replaces words you don't like wiuth asterisks.
2) Make a link for users to report ACTUAL ABUSIVE MEMBERS - because there are plenty of them, like "MikeParov".
LIVE CENSOR PROBLEM
I was just now in a game, and the opponent started hurling insults at me. I responded with an expletive - and the "censor" brought up a dialog box with the message as ONLY an "OK" button.
It reminded me that this site is censored, but there was NO CANCEL BUTTON - I had no way to get out of the message, and now as a result I am kicked from live chess.
There is no indication of "how long" I am kicked from live chess, nor was there any such message about being kicked in the above mentioned dialog box.
Nor is there any information in the FAQ regarding being kicked for an expletive.
Certainly, I support such rules, but if there is a "censor" program, you should at least allow someone to cancel out! If there was a cancel button, I would have used it - there was not one.
The poker sites all use ****** to replace such things. Regardless, if you use ****** or not, IMO you should at least tell a player that such a thing can result in kicking.
And if a user is kicked, there should be some indication of how long that kick will last in their account.
MOVE ISSUE:
I have had more than one problem with a piece not going where I set my mouse - it drops at a nearby square - and of course with no takeback on this site, I'm stuck. In the online games, you have a "confirm move" - it would be nice to have the *options* of a confirm move button for you live chess webpage as well.
Cheers
