Blitz and Bullet Chess

There are several possible factors that can individually or in combination give the appearance of strange clock behavior, especially if you are not familiar with them:

  • bonus time ... a feature in Live Chess which adds seconds to a player's clock after making a move,
  • lag compensation algorithm in the server which attempts to correct each player's clock for time lost in the transmission of moves, and
  • premove ... a feature in Live Chess which allows players to make moves on their opponents' clock.
These three items are usually the culprits in trying to understand apparent clock anomalies in Live Chess.

hi. This occured to me too. Several times.

The first question is: Can I make moves while the opponent is thinking?

The second question is: What exactly are the differences between blitz, bullet, standard?

The third question is: How can I challenge someone to a blitz game? Arrange an appointment for certain date and time?

Thanks in advance...
