lowbandwith optimization

Ok, i'm at a large hotel sharing a poor internetconnectoin with all visitors here.
I wonder does anyone now how to play live chess in such environments with firefox (can it be tweaked somehow).

Its so terrible the connection at most i'm 10 sec live connected, my seeks dont show up to me.. that is if i get connected at all, usualy i have to wait a minute or two for that to happen.

This reminds me how lucky western people are with their internet speeds
If you go beyond the west you quickly will conclude that most internet conected people of the world probaply cannt use the live chess future here. (missed business)

(to me its all a bit strange movement of peaces wouldnt require a lot of network traffic, simply look how small a pgn file is, thats about the required trafic, besides the seeks. )
