Yeah so? Make it an Option though. I'm fed up with accidentally moving the wrong piece and blundering a whole game because of not having a confirmation button. it's pretty simple.

I did that once, but having the confirm button is kind of cheating. on a real game, once you play you're move, you can't confirm it.

You can’t mouse slip OTB.

In a Real game, you have the option to move and the move is over only when you take your hand off the piece, YOu have the option to move back as long as your hand is still touching the piece. once your hand is off the move is confirmed.

Seems simple enough to add a confirmation button. IM sick of accidentally clicking a wrong square and Im waiting to make a move and then having the move be a total blunder that ruins my entire game.  Im sick of it. I don't mind losing but not because of a mistake I wouldn't have made.

Honestly, this is a case of success ruining a site. Whereas they used to listen to Users for a better interface to boost Visibility and playability to make it competitive, now they pretty much just ignore the user base. Plus, with all the behind the scene drama that's gone on it's a wonder the site still functions at all tbh.

Thanks for the help!

The mobile chess.com app now has this option, but the website doesn't, or at least I can't find it if it does.

"The mobile chess.com app now has this option, but the website doesn't, or at least I can't find it if it does." - I've found exactly this too - I'm trying to encourage a relative with slightly shaky hands to play and confirm for live games would help a lot.

mrsuperboot

Can this just be an option in the settings? Like animation type and move method?

IT WORKS! hellelujah!

Dear Chess.Com,

Please add confirm as an option for the desktop version. Mistakes with the mouse can easily happen and games should not turn on such a common mechanical error. Of course, if someone does not want it, then there would be no need to use it. This feature would improve the player's experience. I think you could do that for us, please.

Move confirmation for live chess using mcChessCom plugin.

May we use this plugin and remain with the Chess.com rules?

yeah, cause your opinion is all that matters. it would obviously be optional.

"Can you please implement "confirm" button? "

Where does the poster mention optionality in his request?

you must lack the capability to think

You genious, we are asking this feature as optional, it will only apply to people who wants to use it

ColinCharles

I also would greatly appreciate a confirm button for live chess in the browser version.  Adding it as an option seems easy enough, so why not?

TimYork1980

has chess.com given any response to this? Is there any reason given why you cannot have this feature?

Well since you're from the UK, I'm gonna assume you speak English well enough....so you're just being dumb. Why do people insist on showing off their stupidity??

Just lost a game looking for the nonexistent confirm button.
