We don't reset ratings for instances like this, just keep playing and your rating will adjust to your natural rating. I would also suggest if you see someone throwing games like this, you refuse to continue playing them and let us know if you notice a trend.

You should know, no such accusation would ever stick after the games were looked at by staff. He's just either nuts or sandbagging.

Its kind of amusing that you think your opponent might accuse you of something here. I really don't understand yur argument there..Its obviously only your opponent who might get accused for sandbagging - losing games un purpose. Or account sharing.

I am still having the following problem. As I am playing a game, another game, a challenge I suppose pops up; the original game disappears, and eventually it is lost on time as I have no access to it. If I quickly go offline and re-enter the site, I get the new game, which by then has been aborted. This has cost me I'd say 150 rating points, and I am planning not to use chess.com any more. Before I do that, can anyone help?

Maybe he's trying to get into lower-rated tournaments?

What lower-rated tournaments? There's the open one as opposed to the 1500+ one, but that's a long ways down from 2100. Besides, who even plays tournaments in live chess?

I had an opponent resign from a won position.  I turns out her young daughter got ahold of her smartphone and hit the resign button!
