My short poem

Hello,

This is a poem I wrote for those who are Intentionally disconnect or making their opponent wait long because they don't want to lose the game, and I personally don't think that this poem is a good quality poem as I can do much better but I am busy these days also feel free to edit it or even ended it if you want. The poem says:

"I love chess more and I play it everyday

With heartiness I win and with regret I lose

I play it at home and I play it on the away

The best game I love, and the best thing I chose

But whenever I am about to win and outplay

I would become my opponent’s target to abuse!

He might say words that are badly rude to say

Or makes me wait so long, and then he just goes!

Winning is winning when you bravely play

And losing is losing when you badly lose"

.............................................................................................

Thank you.

if it was me who wrote it  I would edit too much mate. your poem is a disgrace1

Not a bad poem but you clock cry babies have got to stop.  The clock is part of the game and using it to one's advantage is also known as STRATEGY.  Don't play a game if you don't have the time.

awe i know how you feel.

there are a few things that could improve your

format though, as a poet, i have to say it.

was there a pattern in mind, or just a nice

way to rant out your feelings?

I'm here to play chess not wait ten minutes for some loser to finish his little mind games.

Thanks to the OP for putting up that nice poem, I've run into the same problem when someone runs away. But let me add a bit of humor here: The problem with these people that just leave a Game is that they are not using the " Cabadenwurt Defence " ( which I explained in my " Invented Nothing " --- thread ). Laughing

wow I didn't know that you are a poet as I have wrote many poems in English but I don't know if there are any good.

there was no pattern and I was just expressing my feelings but I admite that it is not a good one.

but hey can I have your email and I will send you some of mine and you tell me what you think?

Thank you

i cannot realy judge your poem ... i speak dutch...

i edit my comment... if people are bad losers try to enjoy your win.. and open a new chess.com-window and checkout something nice :)

My variation (to slightly improve the rhythm slightly at the expense of the rhyme scheme) is

"I love chess most and I play it everyday

With heartiness I win and with regret I lose.

I play it at home and I play it on the away

The best game I love, and the best thing I chose

But whenever I am about to win and outplay

I would become my opponent’s target to abuse!

He might say words that are badly rude to say

Or makes me wait so long, then just goes away!

Winning is winning when you bravely play

And losing is for losers at the end of the day"
